Gentle Hatha

Gentle Hatha is a slow paced yoga practice incorporating physical postures, breath control, meditation and relaxation. It is focused on connecting the body and mind with the purpose of increasing both awareness and stability. Gentle Hatha will focus primarily on foundational asanas (poses), which will be held for several breaths, allowing students to truly experience how the asana feels within their own body.

Hatha

Hatha is a static (non-vinyasa) practice. It is focused on connecting the body and mind with the purpose of increasing awareness and stability. Asanas (poses) will be held for several breaths, allowing students to truly experience how the asana feels within their own body.

Our teacher will offer a variety of modifications to encourage the participation of every body.
Suggestions will also be made for more challenging variations for students who are keen to advance their physical practice.

Full inversions may be included in these classes.

Hatha & Meditation

Hatha 1 will focus primarily on foundational asanas (poses), which will be held for several breaths, allowing students to truly experience how the asana feels within their own body. Some pranayama (breathing exercises) may also be included.
No full inversions will be included in this class (some preparations for full inversions may be included).
Following the asana practice you will be guided through 15 minutes of meditation practice. We will explore different methods of meditation throughout the classes.

This class is suitable for all levels.

Roll & Release

This class uses massage therapy balls for trigger point release. During practice we will target connective tissue called fascia in different areas of the body.
Fascial release helps to improve the hydration and slide and glide of tissues, in turn reducing the feeling of tightness, restriction and tension in muscles.
You’ll learn self massage techniques to help improve mobility, circulation, posture and reduce stress.

This class is suitable for anyone from office workers to athletes.

Restorative

Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing, healing practice focused on stimulating the parasympathetic system with the purpose of calming the body and the mind. In this class, props such as belts, bolsters, cushions, blocks, and blankets are used with the purpose of supporting the body while exerting minimal physical effort in the asanas. Pranayama and relaxation techniques will be included.

This class is suitable for all levels, particularly anyone seeking to alleviate the strains of a busy and stressful lifestyle.

Sun Series
